Position Summary:
Student Interns will assist Arts First Film Club students in learning the Fine Arts of visual storytelling and participate in the formation of production teams to produce anti-vaping short films. In addition, interns will research and present on approved vaping topics.
Position Tasks:
- Assist with the formation and support of filmmaking teams;
Research anti-vaporing topics and present them to the afterschool filmmaking club; - Organize and direct all aspects of filmmaking and social media video production;
- Operate or coordinate the operation of lights, audio, and camera equipment;
- Manage post-production workflow on all video projects, including video/audio editing and color correction;
- Distribution of all video assets to media partners;
Work with other third-party agencies to implement marketing plans; - Assists the Lead Instructor with developing strategies to achieve Film Team production goals and objectives;
- Facilitate and assist the team and individual team members in identifying Film Production work tasks;
- Conduct weekly group meetings to record and update tasks, and assignments and define group goals;
- Maintain a record of team member contacts and learning goals.
Consistently maintain and communicate the importance of confidentiality among Arts First staff, volunteers, interns, students, and involved businesses and entrepreneurs.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass background checks;
- Must have completed one Arts First Create Films session (or equivalent) and/or submission of a script or art portfolio and/or experienced in facilitating team operations.
